Mutual recognition of accreditation decisions
![]()
In April 2012 the ministers of education of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) recommend the use of the European Area of Recognition manual (project coordinated by Nuffic).
On 14 December 2010 members of the European Consortium for Accreditation in higher education (ECA) launched the Multilateral Agreement on the Mutual Recognition of Accreditation Results regarding Joint Programmes (MULTRA). The purpose of the MULTRA is to simplify the accreditation and recognition of joint programmes and degrees awarded and to provide an efficient way to expand mutual recognition to more European Higher Education Area countries.
Twelve bilateral mutual recognition agreements between ECA members have been signed during the ECA conference in Barcelona by the end of 2007.
